“So you really think this is a good idea?” Bucky asked you, not really convinced. He crossed his arms in front of his chest and leaned against the wall of his living room.
“Oh, I know that it’s a good idea.” You answered with a small grin, standing up and walking over to him. You wrapped your arms around his waist and looked up at him. “Come on, we will just take a look. And if you don’t want anything, we’ll just leave again.”
Bucky sighed, but he couldn’t hide the smile that formed on his lips when he looked down at you. He pressed a soft kiss on your forehead. “I hate your puppy eyes.” He muttered.
Half an hour later, the two of you were standing in the middle of the animal shelter. And while you thought that Bucky was more of a dog guy, he was kneeling in front of one of the cat cages since over ten minutes, playing with a small white kitty, not noticing what kind of sounds he made. “Such a little baby. A cute kitty bitty.” He mumbled in an uncharacteristically high voice. “So I’ll guess you’ll take her?” You asked with a grin on your lips. “What’s her name?”
Bucky looked on the name tag on the cage, then he looked up at you with a small smile. “Alpine.”
