It's been done. Prune Juice has finally done something that no one could ever come close to, he's made a potion that could allow someone to explore lava lakes without completely melting away. He tested it on a roach first, and seeing how it managed to swim in the sample of lava he had collected months ago, he drank some of the potion aswell, dipping his bare fingers into the container of lava; no effect. It just felt warm.

But he hasn't shared it. Not yet, atleast. He wanted to achieve something greater, to dive deep into the lava lakes and to find life. He's heard of mermagma, basically just mermaids but in the lava. Many just believed it to be a fairytale, he did too, atleast until he had seen something move within lava, and it wasn't bubbling magma or rocks, it... Shined.

He grabs the potion and a pair of goggles. Luckily, these goggles were lava-proof. No lava proof suit yet, though, which was stupid, but the world will do as it pleases. If water in the eyes hurt, so would lava.

A while later, he makes it to the volcanic area, filled with lava pools and flowing lava from the very top of the volcano. He searched for the volcano he saw movement in, and eventually found it. He gulps nervously, before taking his clothes off, since it's likely the clothes would just melt away in the lava, and he didn't wanna go home naked. What was he, an animal?

He feels a bit embarrassed, but ignores that feeling, replacing it for the need to search. He drinks the potion and puts the goggles on, before just jumping into the lava. He's... Alive. And he can see with the goggles. It's actually clearer than he expected, he could probably see a few feet from where he was. He does realize that the lava is a bit dense, having a honey-like consistency, only a bit watered down so he could still swim.

Luckily, the lava pools were all connected, so if he needed to come back up for air, he could do so easily. But for now, he began to swim through the lava, searching for the 'mermagma'.
