Lafayette was shot during the Battle of Brandywine. It was just a flesh wound in his leg. He was relaxing in the medical tent reading. His friends, Alexander Hamilton, Hercules Mulligan, and John Laurens were all worried about him, but he continuously reassured them that he was okay.
