It was raining heavily outside, and Aziraphale turned the sign on the bookshop door from 'open' to 'closed'.He began to lay out the new books that had come to him today,A gramophone played quiet music in the background.Suddenly, there was a loud, insistent knock on the door. Aziraphale was surprised, it was already late, but he thought that someone might need help.He opened the door and couldn't believe his eyes.

"Crowley?.." Aziraphale asked quietly.

Crowley was standing on the threshold, his glasses were broken, all his clothes and he himself were all wet, and he was holding Muriel in his arms.Muriel was unconscious, her clothes were torn, her whole body was covered in scars and small burns, she was breathing very heavily and barely.

"Aziraphale..." Crowley gasped. "I... I have nowhere to go..."
