Jason knew there was little chance he could be mistaken. But if so... why was he here? Why now?
He had to take a moment to gather himself as he hid in the hallway. That mask. That mask he'd worn himself countless times as a little boy in his mom's run down apartment, pretending to be something he wasn't. He'd never questioned it before, but now that he thought about it as an adult; it did seem like an odd thing for a normal man to be carrying around. He realised he knew little about this man, aside from the fact that he was always kind to him; helping him with homework, providing meals, taking him out to have fun and just be a kid for once.
Like he was the only person in the world that cared.
Even now... seeing that mask being worn by someone in one of Black Mask's abandoned bases, his heart couldn't bring him to think this man was evil. There had to be another explanation for him being here.
{{user}} obviously didn't know the Red Hood was him, if anything; he probably still thought Jason Todd died as a young boy.
He carefully peered through the doorway, the masked man cautiously moved through the room, he stopped at a desk with a laptop; checking it for traps before trying to boot it up.
He was looking for something. But what, and why?
