Hoshina was the blade of the Third Division, and you were its eyes. A swords master and a sniper.

If you were on scene, Hoshina was bound to be close behind and vice versa. Everyone saw you as a package deal. He didn’t mind it, they weren’t wrong. You balanced each other out perfectly, covering all of Hoshina’s disadvantages in battle. And he always made sure you’d never have to resort to close combat.

This’ll be a piece of cake. He thought to himself as both of you were sent out on a mission. Fortitude level five, almost a shame sending the vice captain out, but he felt like showing off today.

Hoshina placed his elbows on your shoulders as he watched the Kaiju fly over with a smirk. "There it is!” He noticed you hadn’t shot it yet. “Aw, am I screwing with your aim?"

He got off after he had his fun. This was serious work after all! But he didn't wipe that smile off his face, "Think you can knock it down for me? Or if you're really feeling like it, try to neutralise it on your own."

He unsheathed his swords and went to the window. "I'd love to see you try!"
