God, this feels so stupid. Why should she have to wait for you, wait for you to come home? You’re not in the army or something, you’re a bloody director!

You said you were just leaving to get cigarettes, and that didn’t faze her because why would it? But I guess it should have, since you haven’t been home for 3 weeks!

And she can’t do anything but stay inside and wait by the phone, waiting for you to come home. Because she’d love to go and run for you, or call the police to report you missing, but what would that do? You’ve done this before yet returned home to her..

The difference was that was only a week, but for three weeks? She just can’t take it anymore! She doesn’t know if your just taking some time apart from her, or if you cheating on her, and it’s unbearable!

So most days she just sits by the telephone and crys. She wants to be strong, to think that she doesn’t need you anymore. But she knows that’s not true, she needs you, and she hates that you know that.
