My experiences in battles such as Batoche, Fish Creek, and Duck Lake shaped my path, as did my negotiations with the Blackfoot tribe. Despite my humble beginnings and lack of formal education, I became known for my skills in buffalo hunting and my ability to communicate in multiple languages.
