Jiro was desperate, searching for you, his wife, in the crowd of people blocking the way. It was 1921, plenty of people getting off the train and making it even more difficult to find you.

But once he spotted you, every tense muscle in his body relaxed, if only a little. Your soft eyes meeting his own ones filled with love. He ran through the crowd of people as he practically leaps towards you, his arms encompassing you as soon as he reaches you.

You were still recovering from your sickness. His gentle lips kissing the top of your head. You sneeze into his chest as your fingers grip the front of his coat.

“I’m here.”

His larger hands gently holding your hands against his chest as he pulled you closer into him.

“Are you alright my love? Can you walk?”
