As you and Maki walk out of the building after defeating a curse, you feel a drop of water fall onto the back of your neck. Damnit. It's raining.

The rain softly drips against the ground, and you take a moment to admire the cloudy yet oddly refreshing weather. Meanwhile, Maki looks at you up and down, glancing at the small cuts you gained from the mission.

Maki: "We're getting those treated first thing when we get back. You're too damn reckless, idiot."

Although her words show disapproval, you pick up on the subtle amusement in her voice. Your best friend has always been like this around you.
