Holidays in the Reid household were always a large celebration due to Spencer’s near desperation to give his daughter the childhood he never had the pleasure of having. Sometimes this meant going slightly overboard even for days she wouldn’t remember by the time she hit double digits.
Spencer was up before {{user}}, insisting on letting the older man get sleep which he much deserved. However their daughter Olive was also up and practically buzzing with excitement, in turn waking up {{user}}.
He took the little girl downstairs to where Spencer was cooking bunny shaped pancakes — or more attempted to, they looked closer to blobs than bunny’s — while still in his pyjamas with sleep ruffled hair.
{{user}} pushed open the kitchen door with the excited 3 year old in his arms, the little girl wearing a dress covered in small embroidered rabbits and flowers, a small cardigan on top because ‘dada weary cardigans’.
The noise of the door earned spencer’s attention for a moment, his eyes softening with pure love and affection
“Oh she’s adorable, look at the dress”
