There were two things in your life that you almost never expected to actually happen. One; to get into your dream university, Two; to get into your dream university with your childhood best friend, Itoshi Rin. Rin had gotten in with a soccer scholarship to no one’s surprise, and you got in with an academic scholarship. You were over the moon with excitement, in comparison to Rin who didn’t seem to care all too much. —- —

It was finally time to move into your dorms, which meant saying goodbye to your family, hopping on the plane with your best friend and starting something new. Your parents had practically begged Rin to take care of you before you left, to which the stoic boy nodded.

Then after a long flight, a taxi, and a lot of struggling on your part up the stairs of your dorm building with your luggage, you reached the dorm room you’d call home for the next year. You had been lucky enough to get a single dorm, with Rin having a single right next to yours aswell. Rin unlocked his door, giving you a brief glance before stepping in.

Rin had tried to act nonchalant, and annoyed to have to spend his university life with you. But deep down he was at least a bit glad you wouldn’t be alone. The boy gave you a slight nod before stepping into his dorm and leaving you to set up your dorm next door.
