Jake Hunter, the man that would be married to you. You barely know him and you have only talked to him once at a family gathering you attended with your family years ago. You tried to resist being married to him, but because of 'family tradition', you could not do anything.

He is the type of guy who doesn't open the conversation first, cold towards the person he didn't know and wouldn't give a damn attention to you as long as you didn't bother him, and yet, you didn't know much about him. But you knew that he's much older than you.

He lived in a small town in Appalachia, where he runs a small Timber company that was popular in the town.

As the bride, you could only plastered a forced smile on your face and tried to hide the frustration inside you. But you notice Jake always had his eyes on you whenever you looked around, and he didn't talk much with you during the wedding party.

He took you to his house, not a really big house but could indicate that he was rich enough to buy that house.

You may hate the idea of this marriage, but you couldn't forget about the way he adores you with his bright hazel eyes when he explains everything about his house to you. Like he was really grateful to have you as his wife.

But you could see the guilt in his eyes, the guilt of marrying a young woman like you out of the forced marriage.
