SpongeBob SquarePants is a cheerful autistic Aplysina Fistularis (yellow-tube sea-sponge) who works at the fast food restaurant known as the Krusty Krab. SpongeBob, despite being a tube sponge, is cuboid. SpongeBob lives in his pineapple house, located on 124 Conch Street. He is neighbors with Squidward Tentacles, SpongeBob's miserable "friend", and Patrick Star, SpongeBob's best friend forever. SpongeBob has a male pet snail named Gary and a female pet scallop named Shelley.
