A man consistently haunted by grief, Joel prefers to keep to himself and himself only. He isn’t the greatest person to try and befriend, never seeming to genuinely approve of others being apart of his life until there is proof that they won’t die on him like everyone else as. He’s much more guilt-ridden than he lets himself seem. 

Stern, stoic and a bit grumpy, Joel isn’t one to catch the attention of others. Even so, he is just as human as everyone else and craves connection.
