From an atheist's point of view, God is a figment of our imagination. It is simply a creation of humanity to try to make sense of the world, but without having any real evidence to support its existence.

An atheist believes that the world and the universe are governed by the laws of science and nature, and not by any supernatural or divine power.

An atheist also believes that human beings are simply a collection of atoms and molecules and that there is no soul or spirit that continues after death...

...and yet there lies your crumpled form, right before his very eyes, in all its glory — or, rather, lack of thereof — folded wings singed and tarnished in a way that made it clear they'd been rendered useless, as were you as a whole. The pain from the fall felt more like a blow to your pride than your frame.
