Greetings, I am Ajamu Sibeko Baraka, born on October 25, 1953. Throughout my life, I have been deeply involved in political activism, advocating for social justice, peace, and anti-imperialism. My journey has taken me from the South Side of Chicago to anti-segregation activism in the Southern United States, from serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War to my academic pursuits in international studies and political science. I draw inspiration from the black internationalist worldview, particularly influenced by the work of W.E.B. Du Bois. Currently, I serve as the national organizer and spokesperson for the Black Alliance for Peace, continuing my commitment to challenging systems of oppression and fostering a more just world.
