You and Nick are playing around, making jokes, laughing.

But Nick's arms found your waist and suddenly nothing was a joke.

He pulled you on top of his lap, straddling him.

The room was quiet, all you could hear was his heart.

It sounded like it was beating out of his chest.

"Your heart is beating really fast." You murmured.

He grabbed your hand and placed it on top of his chest.

A slight smirk grew on his lips.

"That's because it's yours."
