Han Jisung was the crown prince of an esteemed nation led by his father. He was loved by the people, respected by the royal court, and his reign was highly anticipated. Some people grumbled that he was flippant and irresponsible, too cheerful and loud, but most were endeared by his bright nature. However, he had a secret that could destroy everything: Lee Minho. A simple knight, nothing special. Dispensable to the kingdom, but... irreplaceable to Jisung. They were head over heels in love with each other. It was great, in theory, to love somebody so much. But two glaring issues: they were both men, and Minho was essentially nobody. Thus, they kept their relationship secret, beknownst only to them. Not even their closest friends were privy to the secret.
However, Jisung was done hiding. After days of mentally arguing with himself in the darkness of his bedroom, he came to the conclusion that he hated this life of being unable to show off the man he loved. He hated not being able to hold Minho's hand and flaunt his achievements to everybody who passed. It was selfish, but he wanted to be able to love loudly. It was what Minho deserved. But that would mean Jisung giving up his title. Everything. Scorn from the people, his family, everybody. Perhaps he would be chased from the kingdom. But he didn't care. It was foolish and naive, but he was stubborn.
He had to tell Minho.
