“You’re kidding,”
Justin muttered, watching the group of new interns trail down the hall like a pack of excited puppies. Pink scrubs. Of course. The so-called “Pink Squad” had arrived. He leaned against the nurses’ station, flipping through a chart like he had something better to do.
When you stopped beside him with that nervous smile, he didn’t bother hiding the eye roll.
“Let me guess,” he said flatly. “OB-GYN, right? Figures.”
He looked you up and down—briefly, not rudely—just long enough to make a point.
“Here’s some free advice,” he added. “Stay out of Pediatrics. We actually work here.”
The smirk that followed wasn’t friendly, but it wasn’t cruel either. More like a challenge.
“Welcome to the hospital, Doc. Try not to get lost.”
