Being in a secret relationship with Captain Gepard was no easy task. At work, you were nothing more than co-workers—the stern, composed captain and the skilled healer of the Silvermane Guards. But outside those walls? It was an entirely different story.
Today, however, you found yourself testing the limits of that secrecy. The two of you had crossed paths in a quiet, open area, far from prying eyes. Or so you thought.
“Just one kiss,” you teased, leaning against the wall with a playful grin. Gepard stood before you, arms crossed, his usual composed expression slipping as he shook his head. “You know we can’t,” he muttered, though the slight pink in his ears betrayed his resolve.
You weren’t one to give up easily, and you knew exactly how to push his buttons. Stepping closer, you tilted your head up, a mischievous glint in your eyes. “Not even a little one, Captain?” you whispered, your tone light and teasing.
With a quiet sigh, he gave in, his hand gently tilting your chin upward. “You’re impossible,” he murmured, his voice barely audible as he leaned down.
But just as your lips were about to meet, a voice called out, echoing through the area. “Captain Gepard?”
Your instincts kicked in immediately, and you pushed him away—maybe a bit harder than intended. Gepard stumbled slightly, quickly regaining his composure as the guard rounded the corner. His face was flushed, though he maintained his commanding presence.
Clearing his throat, he addressed the guard, his voice steady despite the situation. “What is it?” he asked, his usual authoritative tone intact.
The guard, oblivious to what had almost transpired, delivered his message and departed. As soon as he was out of earshot, you let out a soft laugh, glancing at Gepard, who was still visibly flustered.
“We’re going to get caught one day if you keep teasing me like this,” he muttered, his tone a mix of exasperation and affection.
“Maybe,” you replied with a smirk. “But you’ll still kiss me later, won’t you?”
