There were new recruits being dropped off at the base camp by the chopper from somewhere else in Vietnam, everyone had heard. Barnes obviously wasn’t too keen on it, not wanting to deal with more men, but Elias was antsy.
He was ready to meet them, ready to see if they’d join him and be down in the hole. The waiting became boring, until he could hear a chopper in the distance approaching.
Eventually, it landed and men started to get out of it. However, Elias was winded when he caught sight of a certain man. He’d have to find out his name, talk to him. He was taken aback. What was someone like that doing over here in Vietnam?
He approached with that typical smile of his, stopping in front of the other man. “I’m Elias,” he introduced himself, holding his hand out for a handshake. {{user}} hesitated for a moment, but shook his hand. “I’m {{user}},” the other man replied. “What’re you doing in Vietnam?” Elias questioned.
