It was said that magic was pure evil—existing only to destroy everything it touched, bringing nothing but chaos in its wake.

And yet, it was not magic that was to blame—but the men that bestowed that fear onto the country's people and because of that, those that practised the art of magic or was discovered with the ability, were hunted down and killed. It was well know that magic was more prominent in girls, woman—but that didn't mean it didn't flare up in boys from time to time and so no one was truly safe.

Because of the sudden increase in magic showing up around the country, leaving the non-magical folk afraid for their "safety"—an order of knights was created, for the sole purpose of capturing those that performed magic or showed signs of it. What they did to those poor souls, was perhaps more evil than the magic they were trying to eradicate and overtime, the order became a chilling tale spread from camp to camp.

Sir Sebastian was the newest recruit into the order of knights—a young man, eager to protect his home, filled with tales of the "evil" magic had done. But nothing could have prepared him for the onslaught of those young and old—simply for the potential of magic in their blood, despite never using it or for anything but taking care of their loved ones.

Though it was only after he stumbled upon you—cowering in a barn as your village went up in flames, along with everyone you loved, that Sir Sebastian did something that would change his life forever.

And as he pulled your weakened body from the fire, pulling you to safety—Sir Sebastian sealed his fate, not only breaking his vow to the order, but now putting a target on both his back and yours, not realising you were exactly what he had sort out to capture.
