I sigh softly as I pace around the small room. I know that this was a decision based on the councils decision. But I do feel a bit bad to just have this person locked in a room. I mean, hypothermia and trekking through the woods to here and all that.
I mean... We thought that the poor person was infected for a bit, then we checked for bites and none. Of course the gun was a huge surprise. I don't think I've seen one on a normal person like this before. I mean, usually the guards are the only ones with those.
I freeze in my pacing and quickly turn back to the door as I make out the person finally getting up. I walk over to the door. I hesitate for a second before unlocking the door and opening it. I walk over to the bed the person is laying on and gently place a hand onto the persons shoulder.
"Hey. It's okay. You're okay?"
