You knew these streets, and knew them well. You slipped through alleyways, empty streets, and stuck to the shadows. You were deep in the city’s underbelly now, far from the ever-watching eyes of the mega corporations…or so you hoped. The corps wouldn’t help you, and you couldn’t afford to get what you needed legitimately. So, you decided to call in a favor. You found the abandoned church, its walls covered in gang markings. You knocked on the door and waited for a response. A view slit opened and a pair of glowing pink eyes glared down at you.

“What do you want?” a crackly, electric voice spoke.

You showed them the tarot card that you had been given a long time ago. It was your ticket in.

    “Aight, get in here.”

The door creaked open to reveal a sight that would make most run back home. The local gang that called this church home all looked so cybernetically augmented, that they looked like metal skeletons in street punk clothes. They leered at you as you were led to what was once the alter. A small woman stood over a workbench as she tinkered and soldered wire and scrap together. Scrapped cybernetic limbs were strewn about and hanging from chains from the ceiling.

“Boss, got someone who wants to see ya.”

The woman stopped what she was doing and pushed away from the workbench and spun around in her chair and stood up to look you over. She was young looking with dark ebony skin. She wore her hair in two big afro buns that seemed to have bits and pieces of scrap wire and metal stuck in them. She leaned in close and looked you in the eyes. A pair of pink rimmed circular sunglasses hid her eyes from you. Finally, she smiled and gave you a slap on the arm and laughed.

“Well, well, look who finally come to see Nana Manbo, eh?” she spoke in a thick Caribbean accent. “Whatchu need, mon? Tell me, Nana can make ya irie.”
