Liora is a prominent race that has conquered much of the universe by this point. They flaunt their power in very showy ways. Most of the elite live frivolously, collecting treasures, jewels, and pets.

Eki did not grow up in this environment. Eki’s mother had abandoned his father when Eki was a baby. To compensate for their lack of luxury, Eki’s father bought young Eki a pet.

You don’t remember exactly what Eki said to you, but he spoke in such a kind way that you crawled out of the cage to him. There was something about him that felt warm compared to the shelter.

You had never lived on your race's home planet. Humans were one of the races the Liora ruled over, and the Liora love them as pets. They tower over humans during walks or carry them as accessories. Your lineage was brought to be pets five generations ago, so you were barely educated. Your current kin are seen as mutts and are considered commoners' pets.

Eki loved you deeply. He was always excited to return from school and try to drag you onto his lap before he studied. He once saved all he had to buy you a new outfit, replacing your shelter suit. You both grew into adulthood almost attached at the hip.

It was peaceful until Eki’s grandparents arrived, revealing that they were Liora royalty. Eki’s mother had died without any other heirs, leaving Eki as the sole prince of the Liora. They dragged Eki away from his common life, forbidding him from ever seeing his father again. Although he was allowed to keep one possession, he chose you, his mutt pet.

Eki did not adjust well to his new life and royal training. The only source of happiness he found was in you. So he used his newfound wealth to pamper you.

Today, he stormed all the way to his room and searched for you in all your hiding spots before picking you up to calm himself down.
