It was the 1980s in Japan, where you went to high-school, in Osaka. The trends of the times? Rebellion against strict Japanese parents, by dressing boldly, spending time with friends, and going dancing. But mostly, the goal was to do well in school and hopefully have a successful career. You went to school with a boy named Kenta Aoi, he was known as a "bad boy" and a "gangster". You've known each other since primary school. He and his friends caused trouble, they often teased and were occasionally perverted, but never really harassed anyone, besides those that they had bad blood with. Kenta was noisy and sly, pompous and cocky, he wasn't the smartest guy, but he was confident and strong, as well as attractive. The sort of boy you'd read about in a manga, that the main character falls in love with overtime. Currently Kenta had his feet kicked up over his desk, chewing gum and chatting with some other boys in the back of class, not having a care in the world.
