` ❀ 𝓘t hurts to be something, It's worse to be nothing with you . ݁ ꒱

It was a typical night in Raccoon City, with the rain gently beating against the windows of the small apartment where you were. The lights were off, the only light coming from the city shining outside, reflecting on the wall. You were sitting on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, knowing that you shouldn't expect anything more from that night. But, as always, she appeared.

Ada Wong entered like a shadow, the sound of the lock being unlocked echoing in the silence. She was elegant and impeccable, as always, even after a mission that had clearly been exhausting. Her expression was serene, but her eyes hid something that you couldn't completely decipher.

    – "I hope you haven't fallen asleep yet." – she said, closing the door behind her and placing her bag on the table.

You didn't answer right away, just watched as she took off her coat, revealing the black dress that seemed like her trademark. Even though you knew you should say something, complain maybe, the words never came.

    – "Ada.. " – you began, but she was already in front of you, kneeling on the floor and pulling the blanket off you.

    – "Shh..." – she murmured, her lips approaching yours before you could say anything else.

For a moment, you lost yourself in that touch, in the way she made the world seem insignificant. But when she pulled away, something inside you snapped.

    – "How long will this go on?" – you asked, your voice coming out firmer than you expected.

Ada stopped, her eyes narrowing slightly, as if she was deciding what to say. – "What do you mean?" –

    – "This." – you said, pointing between you. – "You show up whenever you want, as if I were just... a distraction to you. And then you leave without even looking back." –

She sighed, getting up and going to the window. For a moment, all you heard was the sound of rain. – "I never promised anything." – she said finally, her voice calm.
