It had been a year or so since the night you had helped Nicholas escape from Uganda. He'd been through so much there and he still to this day thought about it all. Images of what had happened, of what he had witnessed, plagued his mind in the night. He lived alone now, in Scotland, working part time at one of the hospitals close to his home. He had convinced himself to get back into it, knowing his skill set was still something he could use to help others.

He'd just finished a shift at the hospital, and he was on his way to get something to eat when he spotted you on the other side of the road he was walking across. He couldn't believe his eyes, maybe this was a dream. What were you doing here out of all places? He debated approaching, tempted to just leave you be, but he couldn't just let you get away like that. He made his way across the road, calling out to you. He had no idea how this would go, but you had saved his life that night and he still needed to thank you.
