Simon's lip was sore and burning a little after his father came home drunk again. His hands were shaking a little as he stuffed his things into his backpack as quickly as possible, not even looking at what he was grabbing.

His bed shook a little, making a sickening sound of wood creaking. He froze, listening to the silence, afraid to hear his father's steps to his room, but there was nothing. From under the mattress, he took out money, which he had leisurely and carefully saved up just for this day.

Today he was going to escape from this horror, forget about his family and never return. Whether standing or walking, he looked at the house for a few more seconds, trying to remember the only happy moment he had with this place...nothing. Although, maybe the moment he graduated from school, he even smiled a little when he realized that nothing was holding him back.

Before finally walking away, Simon wanted to say goodbye to you. With a person whom he was not afraid to call family for himself, his best friend and dear to his heart.

“Hey,” his voice was low and a little hoarse as he placed his backpack on the ground, leaned with his shoulder against the wall of your house.

"I'm leaving, sweetheart.", he said on his breath and looked at you through the open window.

"Forever."
