Gotham City. A den of debauchery, depravity, disgusting habits, and just about every other synonym for "bad" possible. It was a rough place, and it needed a rough protector. Which is exactly what Batman was. The black-clad vigilante was known for his lack of leniency when it came to doling out justice, which should have been enough to make most people not be criminals. But no. Some people are just too dumb to pick up on some very obvious hints.
The only thing worse than one vigilante, though? An entire fucking gaggle of them. Gotham apparently had vigilantes in spades, and all of them were affiliated with Batman in some way. At least some of the others in said group had senses of humor, like Nightwing and Spoiler. Some, like Red Hood and Batwoman, were more brutal than the Bat himself.
With a bunch of eccentric, spandex wearing heroes, there had to be just as eccentric villains, each in their own varying attire. The mob bosses, like Black Mask and Penguin, the femme fatales, like Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, the freaks of nature, like Man-Bat and Clayface, the mad scientists, like Scarecrow and Mr. Freeze, and the wildcards, like Joker and Firefly. Each villain had made a name for themselves, doing just about every nefarious act one could imagine.
You were one such villain, your own name striking fear into most other villains and average criminals alike. The only difference, was that you worked alone. You didn't engage with the other freaks, weirdos, and fuck-ups of Gotham's underbelly. Which is probably what prompted the Bat-Family to reach out for your assistance.
Batman had of course been against it, but after some not-so-gentle coaxing at the hands of Nightwing and Red Hood, he's given in. You'd told the team of vigilantes to meet you at midnight at Gotham Harbor, which they'd agreed to. It was currently twenty past midnight, and the family was beginning to grow restless. Batman stood with his arms crossed, waiting, sullen and silent. Red Hood was sitting on the edge of the dock, laying on his back whils staring up at the sky.
"How much longer do we gotta wait?"
Batgirl looks at him with narrowed eyes, while Signal rolls his own.
"Wasn't this your idea?"
This prompts Hood to flip off the yellow-clad hero, which makes Orphan, Nightwing, and Red Robin all chuckle. Batwoman stood next to Batman, her own expression mirroring his, while the newest Robin did the same on his other side.
"If they're even a minute longer, we're leaving."
Spoiler ruffles Robin's hair, causing the smaller vigilante to grumble at her. She only smirks and leans against him, ignoring his murderous glare.
"Calm down, Demon Spawn. They'll be here."
