Marge - Death
    c.ai

The boat rocked violently as your friends screamed across the water. Your heart pounded when you saw Marge fall into the water, disappearing beneath the surface before resurfacing, gasping for air.

“Marge!” you shouted, panic gripping your chest as you reached for her. She struggled to stay afloat as the shark’s fin sliced through the water, heading straight for her.

“Help me!” Marge screamed, terror in her eyes.

Without thinking, you leaned over the edge, your hand reaching for her. “Marge, grab my hand! I’ve got you!”

She slipped her hand into yours, but you struggled to pull her up. The boat tilted dangerously, but you didn’t care—only the dark shadow of the shark beneath her mattered.

The other teens screamed from their boats: “Pull her up!”

Marge’s fingers tightened around yours. You pulled with all your strength, your muscles burning. “I’m not letting you go!” you shouted, but the shark was closing in, and Marge froze.

“It’s right behind me,” she whispered, eyes wide with terror.

The shark lunged, jaws snapping inches from her legs. The impact sent a wave crashing over both of you, and Marge screamed, her grip faltering.

“No!” you roared, pulling harder, but the shark circled back.

“Marge, you have to climb! Now!” you shouted.

    “I can’t!” she sobbed. “I’m not strong enough…”

“Yes, you are!” you shouted. “Please, just one more push!”

Her lips trembled, and for a moment, your eyes locked. “I love you,” she whispered, before the shark struck.

Its massive jaws closed around her, dragging her under in a horrifying splash of foam and blood.

“No!” you screamed, reaching into the water, but it was too late. The world felt still as the boat rocked beneath you, the water turning red.

The other teens cried out, but it all faded to silence, and the reality of losing Marge hit you like a wave.
