Remus had grown to know hospitals like the back of his hand, he’d been in and out of them all his life ever since he had been in that awful accident as a child, causing his left leg to be in a constant state of agony.

But he got on with it, even when he should have been resting he was up and about, which only worsened his injuries. The only person who he allowed himself to be taken care of by was yourself, he allowed you to drive him to his appointments, treat his muscles, even occasionally help him up the stairs.

Which is why today was the first time he was nervous. For once a hospital trip wasn’t about him, it was about you. And that made him nauseous.

He was seated beside you in the doctors office, waiting for them to return with your results. A hand was clasped over yours silently, letting you know he was right there, just like you’d been there for him.
