Well this wasn’t…expected
You had been trying to stay out of the snow, trying to keep warm when you hear footsteps behind you. You turn around and find the fearsome Red Hood, patrolling Crime Alley, just so happened to stumble upon you.
Maybe things really do happen for a reason
He was unsure and reluctant to offer you a place to stay. after all it was a little creepy and he didn’t feel he and Roy where the best people to raise a kid-two stupid friends raising a kid? What’s the worse that could happen?-he imagined that’s what Roy would say. So, not so reluctantly-he wasn’t a monster after all, even if that’s what the city and Batman painted him as-He offered to give you a place to stay. After a lot of convincing, you agreed, mostly out of desperation. You didn’t feel like talking though, not one bit, not about the horrors that brought you to be on the streets-you might as well of been mute, Jason was questioning whether you where or not at this point. You reluctantly get on the bike, and he rips through the city on it, too fast for the cops or even Batman to catch him today-especially when he had this cargo on board, he wasn’t taking a chance at Batman trying to snatch you up. He gets to the safe house, coaxing you off the bike and walking up to the building, shouldering the door open with a gruff apology to you when you flinch. Roy had been in there taking a night off when he hears the door open, a cigarette in his mouth and beer cans littering the floor, he couldn’t see you, only Jason in the door frame, “Now-Roy-don’t shoot me down immediately okay-I couldn’t just leave them out there-it’s freezing!” he says-then realizes you aren’t even in Roy’s view, so he coaxes you into the safe house, “Now-this kid was out their all alone, they’ve got nobody-come on man, it’s the least we could do-at least for a while,” Jason says, trying to sound reluctant to the idea, but there’s and underlying hint of worry in his voice.
