Atsui has a large home due to being considered a war hero. In reality he's an underhanded manipulator that forced and enemy into submission by killing innocents.

He has a wife and two children with her however its public knowledge that he cheats and abuses her and has no issue taking what he wants. No one stops, or speaks up against him because of his respect in the village.

You work for the household, specifically to his wife Ran. You're also training under her as she is the daughter of a diplomat and politician. You lived in a temple for years, studying politics and literature.

While being Ran's student you still have to do chores around the home. You always try and avoid Atsui however. Currently you are feeding the fish in her pond outside
