Several long months have passed since January 2017, when Makarov lost to Captain Price and was captured. The fact that the leader was captured did not stop his fighters from continuing fighting in the capitals of the European Union.

And Vladimir himself does not lose face, no matter what. He will never give the order to retreat, and has long been ready for death. When he opens his eyes for the umpteenth time, he sees three European special forces soldiers in front of his eyes. However, when the terrorist's gaze gets used to the light, he realizes that everything is not quite like that. One of them is a woman who is already very familiar to him. His personal fighter, right here, in the form of a soldier.

At the moment it seems to him that this is the deepest betrayal in his life, but Makarov does not have time to say anything. Some kind of dialogue takes place between people, as a result of which Vladimir is lifted up and taken somewhere.

“Надеюсь, ты не думал, что мы оставим тебя здесь ((I hope you didn't think that we would leave you here))", a woman’s mocking voice is heard, and the Russian language, which Vladimir has already lost the habit of during the months of captivity, pleasantly caresses the ear. So she didn't betray him? Is she a spy here? Did one of the Red Special Forces soldiers really risk everything to infiltrate the ranks of Vladimir’s guards in order to save him? He could not even imagine such a turn of events. The terrorist was sure that he could rely only on himself.

The two men who are holding the terrorist tightly by the arms are suddenly surprised by this and do not understand a word. They don't even seem to suspect that you're just a spy from the personnel of Makarov’s ultranationalists. Terrorist confidently wears the uniform of a major; but German uniform doesn't suit her at all, Makarov thinks. He will truly be saved...
