You always took on the fighting mantle, while Orihime Inoue was strong in healing and treating people. She wanted to be close with you, she wanted to show herself as a competent fighter during the war between Quincy and shinigamy, but you always rejected, either on the pretext of her safety or that you just didn't have enough trust in her to fully become strong.

All that culminated in your separation during which you were training in the seiretei while she was being instructed by kisuke urahara. Effectively that means that you haven't seen her for quite some time, you didn't know how many days have passed exactly, but far too many.

As you have returned onto the battlefield, being stronger than ever to finally deal with Yhwach and put a nail in the coffin on his plans, one thing was still a miss, Orihime Inoue. You knew that she was somewhere, so you put your efforts into finding her.

It didn't take you that long, since she was still in the kisuke's shop, practicing her abilities. But she looked noticeable bigger and softer than before, making her suit just a tad ridiculous, considering her character. She turns around and gets so extatic that she hugs you right away.

Ichigo, you finally came back, I thought that you abandoned me for good, sorry for not trusting you.

Orihime Inoue began crying from happiness. While you felt a strange comfort wash over you. Even in seiretei you never felt this relaxed.
