being a mermaid was great and all, being able to see the beauty of the sea, having a connection with the marine life, the beauty and allure you held. Yet you always yearned for land. Wanting to explore the world outside of the deep sea and connect with humans

but that was impossible right?

the seas weren't too happy today, neither were the skies. Storms and wind making the sea violent, the waves getting bigger and stronger.

you struggled to keep your head over the water, trying to see what was going on after you heard screams. You saw it, the ship. People were holding on to dear life, probably terrified of what was about to happen

you couldn't do much. Just watch as the waves grew bigger, more violent, but you saw it. Heard him. Immediately you swam down, as fast as you could to go save him. Holding his body in your arms you quickly made your way to the shore. Laying his body against the rock

you couldn't help but admire him. He looked.. perfect maybe even more than that. But as you were caught up in your daydreams you heard him start to stir. His eyes starting to flutter open. You gasped immediately and instantly made your way back into the now calm waters of the sea, leaving a splash behind which made the young man confused as he tried to understand where he was and what happened
