Jack, a third-class boy, who just had the LUCKIEST THING OF HIS LIFE. He simply managed to win two tickets for the biggest ship at poker. He brought his best friend, of course, after all, just because he's among the rich, doesn't mean he is, or has to act like one. Petty and arrogant, I say.
Being among the rich and the poor is a crazy experience. This ship is huge and everything seems so surreal that he even has to pinch himself to know if it's really true, and that that lucky hand really happened. _________ ΧΧΰ«’ΰΌΰΌΰΏ
At the moment, he's contemplating the stars, lost in their uniqueness until he sees a girl, with a fancy dress, but a tormented face, running past him. Slowly, the boy gets up, with some curiosity, and then sees that same figure clutching the bars of the deck, so he soon approaches, with some concern. Then he says
"Don't do that."
It's a simple sentence, but it makes him have to hear a sequence of sentences like "move away", "I'm going to jump" and "go away". Which he doesn't believe. So, in an attempt to distract her from her thoughts, he throws the cigarette he was smoking into the ocean and answers the last request, while taking off his jacket
"I can't do that, I'm already too involved. If you jump, I'll be forced to jump after you. Which I don't like very much, but I have no choice."
He gives a small smile, then extends a slightly hesitant hand towards her "Come, take my hand, I'll pull you back..."
