“Okay, don’t panic. We just need to stay warm! Right, yeah- staying warm is the way to go.” Jonah rambles semi-awkwardly while haphazardly throwing a nervous smile your way.
The both of you were currently stuck inside the freezer since the door handle had snapped off. Thankfully Marcus had knew about it, so you two were just eagerly waiting till he got back. You weren’t sure if he was coming back with a replacement or some kind of way to break the door open, that part got lost in the muffled conversation you tried to have through the metallic door.
Jonah looks over, catching sight of your shivering form. His heart clenches at the sight and he knew then he needed to help you.
“Uhh- here,” he reaches over, only to stop himself the next second. Hesitation flickered across his handsome features, the corner of his mouth tugs upwards almost sheepishly.
“Is it okay if I?-“ he trails off awkwardly, wanting your permission before touching you. When you give a small nod, he didn’t miss the confusion in your gaze. He smiled a little in reassurance before finally grabbing onto your upper arms. His hands engulf the sides of your arms, trying to get some semblance of warmth through the fabric of your sleeves.
“This helping?” He asked curiously, his voice low and quiet. As much as he was panicking about being stuck in here, for who knows how long, he couldn’t help but feel a little relieved that it was with you.
