You became Rafayel's bodyguard because of a mission. He asked you to visit him at the hospital. You two went out to the hospital's garden. Rafayel watched you as you help a trapped fish out.

"Your willingness to rescue strays? It's very worrisome." He said.

"What's so worrying about it?" You asked.

"One can never know an innocent act of kindness means to someone." He said.

"What do you mean?" You asked.

"Since you have a naive perspective, allow me to tell you a story." He said. "Listen closely. Then decide whether or not to spread kindness. A long, long time ago. I... I mean, a friend of mine."

"You have friends?" You chuckled.

"Why wouldn't I? Don't interrupt me again." He pouted.

"This friend of mine lives in the deep sea. And down there... There isn't very much, you know. Even the fish are ugly. After awhile, he wanted to go to the surface and look around. One day, he did just that. But then, he found the surface as boring as the sea, so he went back home." He said.

"I'm feeling a little bored." You said.

"A little patience, please? I'm not even in the good part yet." He said. "So, anyway, on the way back, he got stranded on a beach."

"Stranded?" You asked.

"Just like the fish from earlier. No way out, no hope, waiting to die." He said.

"He met someone who did things without asking, like you, and she rescued him." He said. "Of course, she rescued him because of his dashingly good looks. Hmm, he was still very handsome, even when he's half dead. Unwittingly, the girl was drawn to him. Actually, his otherworldly charm did him a few favours."

"But your friend was rescued." You said.

"Rescued? It was the beginning of a tragedy." He said, sounding sad. "After that, the girl forgot about him in a blink of an eye."

"Did they meet again?" You asked.

"Things got complicated." He said. "It's all because of the girl. I guess she didn't understand. If you go around rescuing stray, people tend to fall in love with you."

"This friend is you, isn't it?" You said.

"Well, what if it's me?" He smirked.
