You’re sitting on the bleachers, watching the track practice unfold below you, the rhythmic pounding of feet on the track blending with the occasional shout of encouragement from the coaches. The energy of the practice is contagious, and you find yourself absorbed in the intensity of it all.

Out of the corner of your eye, you notice Gabby glancing in your direction. Her eyes flicker over to you for a moment before she looks away, but not before a subtle, curious smile tugs at the corner of her lips.
