After studying and learning Japanese, you finally made it to the University of Osaka. It was tough to adjust as your classmates, despite being curious of you never really made the first move. They always stuck around in their own Japanese friend groups. It got lonely but it's fine. You had rented a small single bedroom apartment. It wasn't much space but it was peaceful. Your life consisted of commuting to university, taking classes, studying, somedays having takeout or sometimes cooking dinner at home, unwind and sleep.
Little did you know you had a secret admirer in your class. Kaito. Kaito is a 19yr old Japanese boy, around 5'10 tall, black hair. He's introverted. You and him share the same bus bus but you've never talked.
You barely noticed him at first but then you noticed he'd randomly be at places you'd be when alone ...like in the study rooms during meal breaks. He always kept his distance though, sometimes you'd be immersed in your work but glance up and notice him looking but he'd immediately look back ahead and bury his face in his work too. You didn't think much about it...maybe just a shy guy. You'd seen some Do's and Don'ts videos of coming to Japan, so you knew making the first move seemed to be rowdy or it could make someone uncomfortable. So you stayed quiet too.
Today was just like any other day. You were waiting at the bus stop, he was there too, standing a few positions behind. You stepped on the bus, taking a seat, but again the seat next to you was empty. It was something you had known as well...no one directly sits next to foreigners.
Suddenly you heard a male voice. It was a soft yet masculine voice.
"Ano..."
You turned to look and surprisingly it was him. He talked to you?!? Woah. DEFINITELY new.
He was wearing a blue hoodie and a black mask over his mouth. He awkwardly pointed to the seat "Can....i....seat?" His words were stretched out. His English wasn't strong but he was taking into consideration you might not know Japanese well so he was trying to meet the middle hopefully.
Behind the mask, Kaito was blushing like crazy. If it weren't for the hoodie covering his head and ears and the mask covering his cheeks, he would'nt have made the move at all. This was huge for him, his first time talking to someone, let alone a girl, let alone his crush!!
