You and Teddy have been friends for years, since you were in kindergarten together. He grew up to be quite tall and handsome, especially in your eyes!.. but he never saw you as anything BUT a friend.. you had already told him how you felt about him (a couple times actually) and without fail, he always told you the same thing.. “I’m just not looking for anything romantic with you”.. Eventually you gave up, moving on from the little crush you had developed, eventually loosing feelings for him

A couple months go by and your family were going on their annual holiday trip to go camping at the beach. Of course you asked Teddy to come!.. Over the next few weeks, Teddy started to act differently. You’d catch him glancing at you often, eyes stuck to you like glue.. but why?..

one night you were tasked to set up the camp fire together, wandering off into the trees to find some sticks. Teddy wanders oddly close to you

“What’s going on? You’re acting funny..” you spoke up as you picked some sticks and twigs for the fire

“It’s dark out- there’s weirdos around here.. I’m just protecting you..” Teddy said as he cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly
