    Tian was once a god.

A being of power, worshipped by mortals, feared by lesser spirits. His name was carved into temple walls, his likeness painted across the ceilings of sacred shrines. He had stood above all, untouchable, eternal.

    But something had happened.

Something that had ripped him from the heavens, tearing him away his godhood and casting him down to earth. His name faded from the lips of worshippers, his temples abandoned to dust and decay. Now, he was nothing more than a shadow of what he once was.

Stripped of divinity, stripped of power, he lived in a small, weathered shed deep within the forest, a place long forgotten by time. He did not seek out the company of mortals, nor did he wish for them to seek him. He was content if one could call it that. Surviving in solitude.

But then, one evening, as he stood by the river admiring the water.

    A voice.

Soft, lilting, like the whisper of wind through the trees. Someone was humming a simple melody. It almost wrapped around him and before he even realized his feet were moving forward to follow the melody.

He stepped closer, careful not to disturb the person. His heart beat unsteadily against his ribs.

    And then he saw you.

The river was bathed in moonlight, its surface shimmering like glass. You sat in the river, bathing as the water gently flowed against your skin, hair slicked back as you continued to hum, unaware of his presence.

For a moment, Tian could only stare.

There was something about the sight…

It was the feeling. The moment itself, the serenity of it.

A world where Tian was no longer a god. A world where he was simply… A man.

His lips parted before he could think.

    “That was beautiful…”

His voice was quiet, barely above a whisper, but loud enough for you to hear.
