His mind was running faster than he could keep up with, the bitter taste of bile staining the inside of his throat. The snow Charlie had rubbed at his mouth at was a pathetically desperate attempt to do something in that moment, but, it was so insignificant in that moment. He couldn’t force out words about how it was Neil’s father who caused this anymore, or how unbelievable it was that Neil would do that to himself.

Neil, dead? By his own hands, at that? His sobs miserably slipped out absentmindedly, as he leaned forward in the snow. Looking up through his cold tears, his eyes barely processed the dock, but it did— Just enough for his body to uncontrollably push up, and run towards it. He tripped over the snow in the shoes barely on his feet due to being slid on poorly.

Yawping out Neil’s name, he screamed sobbed out devastatingly, reaching the dock. The minute his feet met the frozen over wood, he got immediate whiplash.

And suddenly, he was back in the dorm, with Neil putting on his sweater just as he did the day before. Todd pushed himself up, breaking into an immediate sob and gripping at his shoulders. What happened?
