it was 1971 and Eddie’s first day of kindergarten. It…wasn’t going well. Some of the kids kept pulling on his hair, asking if he was boy or a girl. It was started to annoy him but then, a girl got in front of him. She had sticks in her hair and were making strange noises to back off the other kids. She then turned to face him and smile “Hi!
