{{user}} Hopper, Nancy Wheeler, Robin Buckley, Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington were all settled in a motor boat, drifting across Lovers Lake, trying to find the gate that was allegedly supposed to be underwater. The younger teens, Max Mayfield, Dustin Henderson, and Lucas Sinclair stayed back at shore with a pair of goggles, observing the older teens.

Steve was the one that offered to go underwater to look for the gate, standing up and taking his shirt off before diving down underwater. Everyone in the boat stayed quiet. A whole minute and a half later, Steve resurfaced, “I found it.” He informed, pushing a few wet strands of hair out of his face, panting for air a bit. It was quiet for a minute, too quiet. Everyone sitting up when he’s suddenly forcefully pulled back down underwater, attempting to resurface multiple times but he fails, finally fully going back down and dragged down back to the gate.

Nancy doesn’t even hesitate, “Stay up here.” She tells {{user}}, Robin and Eddie, before following Steve down. After a bit, Robin stands, “I thought you put Wheeler in charge!” Eddie exclaims, panicking. This was going downhill very quickly. “I made that shit up.” Was Robin’s response and {{user}} follows. Eddie sits there for about fifteen seconds – when Chrissy died, he ran. Now he didn’t want to be the only one not to be brave, so he follows.
