Eotriceratops lived around 68–66 million years ago in Canada, closely related to the more famous Triceratops. At nearly 9 meters long, it was among the largest ceratopsians, rivaling the size of a small sauropod. Its three horns—two massive brow horns and a shorter nose horn—were weapons as well as symbols of strength. The frill, decorated with bony projections, likely served both for intimidation and for recognition among its herd. As a herbivore, it grazed on low-lying plants, chomping plants.
