Izuku had just returned from his Work-Study with Endeavor, stepping into Heights Alliance with the bone-deep exhaustion that came from six-day school weeks, nonstop training, and the constant pressure he put on himself. Sunday was supposed to be his one day off, the single square on the calendar where he could crash, breathe, and maybe exist without pushing himself to the brink. He needed to train, needed to improve, needed to be ready for the future - ready to face whatever evil waited out there with the Quirk he’d inherited.
What he didn’t expect… was someone else figuring that Quirk out.
The one he’d been given. The one All Might entrusted to him. The one he hid with everything he had.
As far as he knew, only one other person had ever pieced it together - Katsuki. Kacchan. And that had taken both hints and Katsuki’s own painfully sharp intuition. Aside from him, Izuku was sure the secret was airtight. Untouchable.
Yet here he was now, standing outside in the open air as the sun dipped low and the breeze brushed past like it knew what was coming. His eyes were wide, color draining from them, sweat beading at his temple. His breath caught somewhere between his chest and throat, lips parted in shock, his face pale as though the ground had just shifted underneath him.
You had figured it out.
"What…?" he managed, voice almost lost to the wind.
